San Francisco Wine Competition Silver Medals

Parlay Wine is excited to announce that we have just won Two Silver Medals at the San Francisco International Wine Competition for our most recent releases; our 2010 Sauvignon Blanc and 2010 Rosé of Pinot Noir. Over 1290 wineries submitted wines from 27 countries, so we feel very honored to receive Silver Medals in both the Sauvignon Blanc Category and the Other Reds Category.

We worked with a local wine maker in Sonoma to produce our 2010 Parlay Sauvignon Blanc and 2010 Parlay Rosé of Pinot Noir. Our 2010 Parlay Sauvignon Blanc is made from 100% sustainably grown grapes from Dutton Ranch in the Russian River Valley. This Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and vibrant, with a mix of tropical fruit flavors and balanced acidity. Beautifully aromatic, this quaffable, well-crafted wine will delight your senses. (Retail $24)

Our 2010 Parlay Rosé of Pinot Noir is from a premier vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. It is delicate and refreshing, with vibrant berry flavors and a crisp finish. This easy to drink wine is great for hot summer days and pairs well with a variety of cuisines. (Retail $18)

Parlay Wine is a boutique wine brand that specializes in bringing small production, high quality Sonoma County wines to market that are approachable and affordable.

Monument Lane New York - Parlay Wine

We attended the soft opening of our friends fabulous new restaurant Monument Lane in the West Village (NYC) last night. We loved the colonial themed decor and cozy ambiance and the menu was fantastic. Many of our favorite gastro pub classics (like a juicy burger and oysters) and also some creative new additions, like prezel sticks with cheese dipping sauce and pork pot pie. We are happy to say that Monument Lane is also carrying our Parlay Festival Cuvee Rosé. So stop in soon, they officially open on April 22nd and don't forget to order a bottle of Parlay!

Rosé Wine for Fall

From the Chicago Tribune: "A wine for more seasons Rosé deserves a spot on the table in autumn too"

"Shadows are growing longer and days are growing shorter, but don't for a second think summer is over — even if the kids are heading back to school. There are plenty of sultry days in store. Warm weather can extend well beyond Labor Day; just ask any New Englander about Indian summer, a San Franciscan about what life is like in October (especially life without air conditioning) or a Floridian pretty much any time of year. Rose will matter for quite a while now.

Good rose has a crisp kick and a fresh berry essence that can revive the flagged spirits and heat-dulled tongues. As you would expect, rose works with those foods and fruits of high summer, like vine-ripened tomatoes, corn on the cob, red peppers, berries of all sorts. But the wine also is compatible with fall and its classic flavors: cabbage, Brussels sprouts, pears, cauliflower and broccoli, just to name a few."
